Downtown Country Village Canyon Park Thrasher's Corner North Creek
-In May of 2007, over 5,000 people gathered for a parade and outdoor concert at Bothell Landing in honor of American Idol contestant Blake Lewis, who grew up in Bothell. Residents say they'd never seen such a huge crowd in the city.
-In December of 1962, LIFE magazine honored Bothell's 112-foot fir tree at Main Street and 102nd Avenue as the world's largest living Christmas tree. It glowed with lights strung by community groups each holiday season until it was struck with disease in the late 1970s.
-A portion of the first brick road into Bothell, which was completed in 1913, is still in use today at the Wayne Curve, as one enters Bothell from the west.
-On Easter Sunday in 1911, Bothell's worst fire destroyed all 11 buildings on Main Street.
-The original Bothell State Bank, now occupied by Bothell Nutrition, was the site of an attempted bank robbery by the River Rat Gang from Everett in 1927. Two of the would-be robbers were killed by one of the cashiers. Though the bank was impregnable for years, it was successfully robbed of $40,000 in 1945.

With nearly 11 miles of paved path along the river, the trail begins in Bothell, travels through Woodinville wine country and ends up in Redmond. It also hooks up with Seattle's Burke-Gilman Trail. Bothell is a community with heart.
